Tasting Room Manager 

Location: Domaine de Grand Pré
Position: Tasting Room Manager
Type: Full-time year-round (includes weekends)

Domaine de Grand Pré is seeking a confident, organized, and hospitality-driven professional with strong wine knowledge and exceptional customer service to join our team as Tasting Room Manager. This role brings together hands-on leadership in the tasting room with guest communication, tour and tasting coordination, and support for direct-to-consumer initiatives such as wine club engagement and event execution. The successful candidate will be someone who can lead a team in a calm, steady manner, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about wine, storytelling, and Nova Scotian hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily tasting room operations and guest experience standards

  • Lead, train, schedule, and support tasting room staff

  • Drive wine sales, wine club memberships, and customer retention initiatives

  • Ensure a welcoming, polished, and service-focused environment

  • Handle guest inquiries and customer service resolution professionally

  • Assist with planning and execution of winery events, private tastings, and hospitality initiatives

  • Handle busy days effectively while maintaining service standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality, wine sales, marketing, or tasting room management

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Team-focused, calm under pressure, and personable during high-traffic periods

  • Passion for wine, customer service, and brand development

  • Comfortable working weekends, holidays, and special events

  • Nova Scotia Serve Right certification required

  • WSET certification or wine education is considered an asset
