25 Red Sparkling

Tasting Notes:

A fun sparkling red wine crafted from estate-grown Marquette with a L’Acadie Blanc, this special release celebrates Domaine de Grand Pré’s 25th anniversary.
Expressive and vibrant, the wine is bursting with ripe fruit notes of red plum and cherry. Its fruit-forward character is complemented by silky tannins and a creamy mousse, leading to a refined and elegant finish.

It is a perfect companion for any celebration or dish featuring pork, duck, or roasted root vegetables. 

Winemaker’s Notes:

To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we produced a first for the winery: a sparkling red. Both a celebration and a learning experience, this wine offered an opportunity to explore an unconventional style within our portfolio. To enhance its playful character, carbonation was added post-fermentation using a brite tank. A small percentage of L’Acadie was included to provide acidity and aromatic lift, enhancing the wine’s overall brightness. Following in the footsteps of our 20th Anniversary Wine, which highlighted the progress of Nova Scotian reds, our 25th Anniversary Sparkling Red carries that spirit forward in a lively, effervescent expression.
