Tasting Notes

This variety was originally developed in Ontario but then brought to Nova Scotia in the early 1980s. It was named on our vineyard after the Acadians that settled down in Grand Pre, over 400 years ago: L'Acadie Blanc.

A very special and unique variety that is mainly grown in Atlantic Canada today, not to be found in many other wine-growing regions.

This dry, light-to-medium-bodied wine features crisp aromas of apple and pear, with palate-buzzing citrus flavours. While L’Acadie is known for its racy acidity, this wine has a pleasing buttery finish that balances its complexity.

Pair With

L’Acadie pairs wonderfully with Nova Scotian seafood, especially lobster and scallops, as well as poultry and veal. Best enjoyed chilled.
